The Centre for Trade and Investment Law (CTIL), in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), is organising a Conference on “Next-Gen Trade Pacts: Leveraging India’s Partnership with Europe under FTAs” on 19 May 2026 at FICCI Federation House, New Delhi. The conference will bring together policymakers, industry representatives, legal experts, and trade practitioners to deliberate on the evolving landscape of India’s trade engagement with Europe under ongoing and emerging Free Trade Agreements (FTAs). The discussions will focus on opportunities for Indian industry arising from India’s trade agreements with the European Union (EU), the United Kingdom (UK), and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), while also addressing key issues relating to regulatory compliances, services trade, and the European Union’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM). The conference will feature thematic sessions led by experts from government, industry, academia, and the legal fraternity, providing a platform for meaningful dialogue on strengthening India’s trade and economic partnership with Europe.
