The Centre for Trade and Investment Law (CTIL) is pleased to collaborate with National Law University, Jodhpur for the 24th edition of the John H. Jackson Moot Court Competition (West and South Asian Regional Rounds), scheduled to be held from 17-20 March 2026 at National Law University, Jodhpur, India. The John H. Jackson Moot Court Competition, organised globally under the aegis of the World Trade Organization (WTO), is one of the most prestigious moot court competitions in the field of international trade law. The competition provides a platform for law students to develop expertise in WTO law, engage with complex trade-related legal issues, and interact with leading scholars, practitioners, and policymakers. The four-day regional round will bring together participating teams from across the West and South Asian region to argue a simulated dispute based on WTO law before panels of distinguished judges comprising academics, trade experts, and practitioners. The event will commence with an Inaugural Ceremony on 17 March 2026, followed by preliminary rounds across two days. The competition will progress to the Semi-Final rounds on 19 March 2026, with the Final round scheduled for 20 March 2026, culminating in the Closing Ceremony and award distribution. In addition to the competitive rounds, the programme will feature a Sponsor’s Fair, panel discussions, and networking engagements, providing opportunities for participants and experts to exchange ideas and deepen their understanding of contemporary issues in international trade law. Through this collaboration, CTIL and National Law University, Jodhpur aim to promote academic excellence, strengthen engagement with international trade law, and encourage the next generation of legal professionals to contribute to the evolving global trade framework.
