India International Disputes Week 2026

The Centre for Trade and Investment Law (CTIL), Government of India, participated in the India International Disputes Week 2026, held on 10 March 2026 at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Chandigarh, as part of a panel discussion on “Cross-Border Trade & Investment Disputes & Leveraging India’s Expertise.” The panel featured Dr. James J. Nedumpara, Head, CTIL, and Mr. Pranav Narang (ACIArb), Associate, CTIL, who contributed to the discussion on India’s evolving engagement with complex cross-border trade and investment disputes. The session examined India’s growing role as a credible and capable jurisdiction in the global dispute resolution landscape. The panel also included Ms. Krati Singh, Executive Partner, Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan Attorneys, Mr. Hari Veluri, Director, Providence Law Asia (Singapore), and Mr. Joshua Phang, Director – Disputes, TSMP Law Corporation (Singapore). The discussion was moderated by Mr. Amrinder Singh, Advocate, High Court of Punjab & Haryana. The deliberations focused on key issues relating to cross-border trade and investment disputes, including emerging jurisprudence, institutional frameworks, and the importance of strengthening India’s dispute resolution ecosystem through capacity-building, credibility, and international collaboration.
