The Centre for Trade and Investment Law (CTIL), Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, contributed to the Seminar on Leveraging the India–Oman Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) held on 26 February 2026 at Kochi. The seminar brought together policymakers, industry representatives, and trade experts to deliberate on the opportunities emerging from the CEPA, with a focus on enhancing bilateral trade, investment flows, and sectoral cooperation between India and Oman. The sessions covered key aspects of the agreement, including its legal framework, tariff liberalisation, and opportunities across goods, services, and digital trade. Discussions also highlighted the importance of translating trade agreements into practical outcomes for businesses, exporters, and other stakeholders. The event facilitated meaningful dialogue between government, industry, and academia, and provided a platform for stakeholder engagement, including business-to-business interactions. The seminar underscored the significance of informed policy engagement and capacity building in effectively leveraging trade agreements and strengthening India’s global trade partnerships.
