Radhika Bhakoo is an international law practitioner with over ten years of post-qualification experience in international trade law, investment law, and international arbitration. Currently, she is working as a working as a Legal Consultant at the Centre for Trade and Investment Law (CTIL). She is an Adjunct Faculty with leading Indian Universities. Her professional work centers on international trade and investment disputes, bilateral and multilateral treaties, investor–state dispute settlement (ISDS), and public international law. She has contributed to UNCITRAL Working Groups, drafted international treaties and MoU’s and worked with international institutions such as UNCTAD, UNIDROIT, PCA, WTO, the World Bank, and the Asian Development Bank. As a Legal Consultant at the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, she has also been a part of India’s negotiating team for trade and investment treaties. During her tenure at the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India she represented State interests in WTO Trade Remedy Investigations. She has worked extensively on subsidies, anti-dumping measures, safeguard investigations, WTO disputes, and free trade agreements, as well as participated in consultations and hearings before investigating authorities of WTO member states.
