Harshit Kothari is a Young Professional at the Centre for Trade and Investment Law (CTIL), where he assists the Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India on critical trade and investment matters. With a strong background and a keen interest in international economic law, he has developed a profound understanding of International Public and Private Law. He is an LLM candidate from World Trade Institute, Bern, with specific focus on international dispute settlement law, international and EU trade and investment law and newer focus areas like digital trade, climate litigation and data protection law. He holds a B.A.LL.B. degree from ILS Law College, Pune, which he attained with first distinction. Additionally, he has completed a year-long diploma course on human rights law, with course work centered on International Bill of Human Rights and human rights laws in different jurisdictions, like India, the US, EU, and others His academic achievements reflect his dedication to the field, and his expertise extends across various aspects of global trade and investment, data protection, climate agreements and international arbitration. Harshit has also gained valuable knowledge and experience through his internships during the early years of his legal education, which allowed him to engage with real-world legal challenges
